~I couldn’t find a plaque to identify this, but it was near my son’s house in Phoenix AZ. If anyone from there knows, please comment.
Thanks for stopping by, have a great week.~
Anytime we are in Arizona and I see mountains, I think of John Denver. This of course is the Grand Canyon, early mist.
Here is Rocky Mountain High, even though this is not Colorado.First time posting video. Hope I did it right.

BEING CAREFUL
I’m cheating today since I am going on vacation. This is a picture my daughter-in-law took a couple of years ago. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!
In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge and to see more go here: “Careful.”
In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “(Extra)ordinary.”
Everyone’s pictures for this challenge was so good, that I had a hard time finding something. I settled on this picture of ordinary people doing something extraordinary! This is a photo I took in April 2010 at an Arizona festival when I still had an iPhone.
In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Today Was a Good Day.”
2 years ago, this was a fun day near Phoenix AZ with my son and his daughters, and their cousin. It was the first time James flew in an airplane and the first time we got to take him out to AZ.
In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Enveloped.”
While visiting Arizona dessert landmarks, I spied this goat on a hilltop.
Silly me did not see the fences below and thought it was a wild goat. My son then informed me, “mom, its the far side of the Phoenix Zoo!” So then I took this picture of the goat area. Not as exciting as seeing a wild animal in Africa I guess, but that was my first reaction. And no, I have not been to Africa either but has anything like that happened to you?
Thanks for visiting my site, and I will enjoy taking a look at yours too. ~Julia

In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Forces of Nature.”
This week, share a force of nature from your corner of the world. It can be something as large as the Grand Canyon, or as small as the tiny seedling steadily breaking is way through the concrete in your driveway.
I chose this picture because not only is the Grand Canyon a true force of nature, but also the tress are growing out of the rock too.
